I waited 3 years to do this!

I did wait 3 years after Seth & Sophia went off the college to redo their rooms. We are planning to sell our home in 2 years and I want it "de-personalized" to sell! I watch too many TV shows on why you should do this.
I'm packing up all their treasures for them to take to their new homes, someday. Decorating is my true passion.....on a shoe-string budget!

Sophia is in her junior year at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, R.I. and is in the Culinary Program. I decided to redo her room this year from high school going-on's to an orange branch. It's still in progress but I think she will like it. She's traveling to Singapore and Taiwan this summer to study Pan Asian cuisine. This room pays homage to the trip. I love asian influences.

Sophie left this wall painting!

After the Kids move out !

Seth is graduating from this May from 5 years of college in mechanical engineering at Binghamton University and will be moving to Washington D.C. to work for the US Patent Office. I redecorated his room last year and he loves it. It's a mix of retro finds, family heirlooms and as my brother calls it..."The Predator's Room" because all the images in the room are of predators. P.S. Notice the orb in the room?

for abby, my world traveler friend

A few of my ATC's (artist trading cards)

I like making them but find myself too busy to make many of them. When I was in art school back in the late 70's much of my work was collage. Creating these images are like getting on a train.....you don't know who's driving and where you might go??

I found this cute photograph on Esty. When my daughter Sophia was 3 her father nicknamed her "Mousey". Sophia was highly allergic to rodents (we found that out while visiting a pet store!) She wanted a mouse so badly that I bought her cat toys made of real bunny fur. Sophia played with them until the fur rubbed off. One Christmas Eve, she lost one in church which we referred to as "the Church Mouse". He lived happily ever after there. We still have her mice and when I locate a picture of her dressed as a mouse I will post it. I sent her this picture last week to cheer her. Sophie called from college with a terrible cold and needed some TLC from mom ma.
